Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tightener who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered to be among the greatest tight ends in history. Additionally, he was the leader in receiving yards and third place in total receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end with the highest number of receptions.
The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as an FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has been a regular guest presenter on FOX NFL KICKOFF since the 2017 NFL season. The pregame program, lasting an hour, precedes FOX NFL Sunday, which airs each Sunday starting at 11 am ET, during the NFL Season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract to the Falcons for two years and $11 million on March 15 2013. This was despite having stated that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the 2013 NFL season. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez, who was 37 when he left, was able to finish the final year of his career as the NFL leading receiver yards.
